An autopsy has been ordered in the death of a man whose body was found this morning in the Hiwassee River in Polk County, Tenn.
Terry Bivens' family reported him missing from the Gee Creek area on Thursday afternoon, according to a news release.
Polk County deputies found his vehicle near the river and began a search along with Tennessee State Parks and West Polk Fire and Rescue.
Sometime this morning, a submerged body was spotted in the river several miles downstream, the release stated.
West Polk Fire and Rescue and the Polk Sheriff's Office used a drone to help locate the body so divers could bring it to shore.
A death investigation is under way, the news release states.
